FUNDRAISING IDEAS

We all know the importance of fundraising in our chapters. I'd love to hear the different fundraising ideas your chapter has used.

MARBLE GAME

NEEDED:

200 Green Marbles

1 Clear Marble

2 cloth bags - one small and one large

Put marbles in large bag and put the discarded marbles in the smaller bag.

The object in this game is to have ticket's with anyone's name on it that wants to participate and they payone dollar a week to enter each week.

Their ticket is then put into a container with a lid for the draw next week. You also need a container for the money to be kept in. Then starting the next week, the one's that lost or stayed the same get to draw a marble..this continues until the clear marble is drawn.

This can go on for quite a while but the longer it goes on the more money there is to be won. When the clear marble is drawn then whatever moneyis in the container is divided evenly between the winner and the Chapter.

Make sure the clear marble is the same size as the green ones.

KOPS can also play this game by the same rules.

LOTTO 649 CONTEST

Pick up blank Lotto 649 slips at your local lottery shop.

Each chapter member, who wants to play, fills in their 6 lucky Lotto numbers on the blank 649 Lotto slips, signs her name on the slip and gives it to the contest chairperson, along with $2.00 to play the Lotto.

Using only Saturday night numbers for 649 (not the bonus number), the chapter members who:

Lost weight or stayed the same, (KOPS losing or being in leeway)
And who stayed for the meeting

Would mark off the winning numbers they had chosen.

The member who has all her numbers drawen first becomes the winner and receives half of the money collected.

The other half of the money goes to the chapter.

The results will be posted on a bristol board each week for all members to keep track of their progress.

CONTEST CHAIRPERSON:

Please ask TOPS if they lost/stayed the same and KOPS if they lost/in leeway and if they are staying for the meeting before crossing off their numbers.

WELLNESS WEEKLY AUCTION

The idea is someone starts it off by bringing in an 

article to be raffled off.  It was agreed that it had 

to be something to do with wellness---emotional, physical.

As long as it was "good for you!"

We have had a wide variety of stuff: flowers, handmade 

items, exercise equipment, lotions, candles, dvds, you 

name it.

Then we sell tickets 3 for $1.00. The person with the 

winning ticket wins the auction for that week. 

The catch is....that person then has to bring in the 

auction for the next week to keep it going.

We used to bring in 3 - 4 dollars a week with our 50/50 

and now we bring upwards of $15.00 a week.
