Hello Everyone

March is all ready upon us - this means elections the first meeting of the month and often Award Nights in many chapters. It also means the new executives elected will be busy preparing for their new positions. A reminder, regardless if there is a change in the executive, your Office Chart for 2010 must be sent to Carol Harper to keep your chapter active. This is a good time to go over your bylaws also. If there is a change in your bylaws be sure to share with Carol Harper also.

For your treasurer, at the end of March is not only the quarterly audit, but also the yearly audit for your chapter. Everything must be balanced before the new treasurer begins. Please be sure to send these audits to Carol Harper also.

If you are in need of audit forms, or other forms, many of them can be found on the left hand side under TOPS Forms. If you can't find what you are looking for ask me and I will try to help.

For the elected executive: Don't forget about the TOPS FUNshop on March 29th in Woodstock. An invite was sent out earlier. A note the $5.00 is for photocopying, etc and is due regardless if your chapter is attending. Any papers shared at the FUNshop will be sent to absent chapters.

I am looking forward to receiving back the Winter Area Captain Challenge: Beat the Winter Blues. I would also welcome comments on what you thought of the challenge. The winner of yearly TOPS membership will be announced at the TOPS FUNshop.

TOPS ON 1092 Stratford and TOPS ON 5357 Stratford had their first Rally Planning meeting on February 24th. Many ideas were shared and we hope to plan a full Rally Meeting in May with all chapters before summer is upon us where we will share our ideas.

A reminder to all members: It is important to renew your TOPS membership on time. You  will receive the TOPS Renewal form about 6 weeks in advance. THis is so you have time to pay your treasurer, your treasurer to mail it to Carol Harper, and then Carol Harper sends it to TOPS headquarters to ensure that you TOPS membership does not lapse. It is important that your membership does not lapse throughout the year as this will disqualify you for awards. Please submit your membership on time. If your membership runs out on March 1st for example, and you paid on February 1st - your renewal will still be March 1st. Thank you for your understanding on this. I would just hate for anyone's membership to lapse and miss out on a well deserved award.
