The best exercise is one you will do!

I have said many times that I like to change my exercise all the time so I don't get bored. I have collected a variety of exercise videos and here I will share some of them with you.

It is a great idea to try some of them prior to making the investment of a dvd that you will NOT do. Perhaps you will find an exercise that you really enjoy also.

If there is something you are looking to try - let me know - my daughter is very handy at finding whatever I need :)

I have separated them off as the last page was getting way too long and found this much more user friendly. I hope you agree.

I have also found some exercise quotes that I will share along the way.

Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness.

Stability Ball

A primary benefit of exercising with an exercise ball as opposed to exercising directly on a hard flat surface is that the body responds to the instability of the ball to remain balanced, engaging many more muscles. Those muscles become stronger over time to keep balance. Most frequently, the core body muscles — the abdominal muscles and back muscles — are the focus of exercise ball fitness programs.

If you're looking for a great way to keep fit and are tired with going to the gym or running, then try getting some belly dancing exercise!  Most people look at belly dancing as being a form of exotic dance, but when you look at it as a form of exercise, you'll quickly see why it's a great way of staying in shape.

A man's health can be judged by which he takes two at a time - pills or stairs.

Doing yoga regularly offers many benefits, including making you feel better about your body as you become stronger and more flexible, toning your muscles, reducing stress, and improving your mental and physical well-being.

Practicing any type of yoga will build strength, but some types may not raise your heart rate enough to make them the only form of exercise you need to include in your weight loss regime.

PILATES

One of the significant differences between Pilates and yoga, is that Pilates exercises are very much directed toward developing core strength and efficient movement habits that translate into daily life. Yoga poses also develop core strength. But yoga is more stretch and flexibility oriented, and perhaps, less interested in daily movement mechanics than in expanding consciousness through movement. Pilates also increases flexibility, and has a strong body/mind integrative component, the difference is the degree of focus.

Billy Blanks

Tae Bo is an aerobic exercise routine that became popular in the 1990s. It was developed by taekwondo practitioner Billy Blanks and was one of the first "cardio-boxing" programs to enjoy commercial success.Such programs use the motions of martial arts at a rapid pace designed to promote fitness. The name Tae Bo is a portmanteau of tae kwon do and boxing.

Weight/Strength Training

If you want to lose fat or change your body, one of the most important things you can do is lift weights. Diet and cardio are equally important, but when it comes to changing how your body looks, weight training wins hands down.

Chair Exercises

Chair exercises are a great form of exercise for older adults, for those with disabilities, for people with poor balance, or for anyone else who has trouble standing or getting onto the floor to do exercise.  Chair exercise can also be done in the office in the course of the workday when you need a little pick-me-up and as a handy way to work some activity into your day.

Chair exercises are gentle on the body and are generally safe for most people to do.  It’s always a good idea to talk to your doctor before beginning a new exercise program, but you’re not likely to injure yourself doing any of these exercises.
