This week we are going to shift the focus to your surroundings. On things I have noticed over the years is how many people too often approach weight loss and dieting as being separate from normal daily living. As we've established by now, you can't be on a diet part-time, lose some weight, and go back to the way things were. In order for you to continue progressively moving toward a healthy lifestyle, let's look at your surroundings, mainly your home.
The first and most obvious place to start is the kitchen. How many snacks, unhealthy treats, high-sugar foods are in your kitchen? Does the life you have been visualizing include all those items? Look to be sure you aren't stashing items you don't need or that don't belong in your life anymore.
The kitchen is the place, if tempted by unhealthy foods, you're most likely to be consuming unhealthy calories.
Toss out unhealthy items and drinks and be sure that healthier foods are available and handy. Fresh fruit in a bowl on the table, high-fiber cereal in the pantry, snack-size carrots or other vegetables in the refrigerator, sliced and ready to eat.
HEALTHY = CLEAN
If you're going to work toward a healthy and fit lifestyle, your home should be suitable for someone who is healthy and fit. Once you've tackled the cleaning and organizing, you will have a clean and organized kitchen. You'll feel a renewed sense of energy and a greater affinity with you surroundings, and that's good energy. Focus on cleaning and organizing your home this week, in addition to the other actions - and don't foget to schedule a reward.
GOAL FOR THE WEEK:

What a great action for a new year! I know there are still Christmas goodies around the house - time to clear them out. It has been a tough couple weeks with the holidays and all. I would have much preferred a fruit basket to fruit cake and chocolates..lol...oh well a new year and soon a clean environment of it all.
