Actions:
- Carry a water bottle with you and drink plenty of water.
- Substitute a healthy food in place of your food vice.
- Replace sedentary TV/Computer time with exercise.
You have eliminated soft drinks or other high-calorie drinks and replaced them with water; you have eliminated your worst and highest calorie food (or meal) and replaced it with a healthy one; and you have started to incorporate exercise into your life. These are three important actions that can make all the difference in the world when measuring your health and fitness level. These three habits can and will create a ripple effect into other areas of your diet and life as you will see in the coming weeks. This week you should focus on making time to exercise on a regular basis.
FINDING A PARTNER
There are many benefits of having someone with you while you are working out, whether it's a friend or someone in an exercise class. Having someone with you to walk, talk, and focus on reaching the end point makes working out a whole lot easier. Also, if you've arranged to meet someone for a walk or a class you'll be less likely to not show up, because you'll be disappointing a friend, as well as letting yourself down.

Transition to Fitness
While you are beginning to implement this third and important habit into your lifestyle, keep in mind the suitable transition that is necessary to establish the habit. Review the three components to make exercise an integral part of your life:
- Choose exercise from your level of fitness and health
- Schedule a time you will commit to regularly.
- Gradually increase frequency, duration, and intensity.

How is everyone doing with the exercise before tv or computer or during?

started the exercise thing while watching TV and it is so easy, before I knew it I have been moving steady for almost an hour. I keep my legs moving, and my arms moving, alternating between the two. I was actually breathing heavy and now am feeling it in my muscles.
A partner is great to have. With my irregular schedule it is hard (never know when I will be sent out on a bus charter) I guess I am also worried that I would not be able to keep up with someone else and disappoint them.

I don't watch much tv it is the computer for me. When I do watch tv that is MY time to crochet, knit, or whatever. It is a treat for me to watch tv. I did used to watch Oprah with my treadmill but sold it yesterday on kijiji as it was an older one that was always elevated and bothered my legs something bad.
The computer it is hard to do something while on it so I put my exercise dvd's into my laptop and take a break from it. I have also been sitting on my ball while on the computer to help with balance.
I agree Ellen an exercise partner would be great to have but not always doable.
Great on fitting movement into your tv time :)
