Actions:

  1. Carry a water bottle with you and drink plenty of water.
  2. Substitute a healthy food in place of your food vice.

I hope you feel as though you have made some good changes in your life. I also hope you have noticed the absence of an eating plan, and also the lack of emphasis on food. If you are constantly focused on everything you need to eat, and everything you shouldn't eat, then you will remain focused on the problem - food. The solution is to focus on simple actions to get you started, and on short term goals (completing your actions for the day and for the week.

Three Reasons for Obesity

  1. We routinely eat what we like and like what we eat. Because so many people are doing it, it can't be that bad, can it? By taking the steps during this week and to break a food vice, you should be learning a lot about yourself. Each day you may be temped by whatever it is, but believe me, it's not worth it. Keep your focus on where you want and need to go.
  2. We may be missing the boat when it comes to our health is that we simply misinformed about the dangers of eating a large majority of the food available to us. Just about every restaurant has a menu on which unhealthy items outweigh the healthy. If you want to indulge there are much better things to indulge in.
  3. The obesity statistics continue to rise because of our lack of goals - yearly, monthly, weekly, and even daily goals. Set a goal and take action! Solidify in your mind what it is that you really want. Setting clear goals will give you a clearer vision of where you are going.

What are some of your goals?

My main goal is to eat more whole foods or ones that aren't processed. The ones that don't need ingredient labels.

I also want to keep working towards drinking adequate amounts of water daily.

I want exercise to have a more permanent, non excusable role in my life - a priority I guess.
