Rhonda Chevalier - Area Captain #6139

I first joined TOPS in October 2006. April of 2007 I was elected Leader of TOPS ON 5270 Stratford and remained in that position until circumstances changed in January 2009 and I could no longer attend Monday evening meetings. I started as the Leader of our newest chapter in Stratford, TOPS ON 5357 which was held on Thursday nights and now Wednesday Mornings. In January of 2011, after a move to Monkton, I joined TOPS ON 5351 Monkton. I now live back in Stratford and belong to TOPS ON 1092 Stratford and am the Treasurer.

In May of 2008, Carol Harper asked me about becoming Area Captain. I strongly believe in TOPS and must say looking back TOPS has given me as much as I have given them. Three years ago I could never imagine standing in front of people I didn't know, let alone talking to them - now I look forward to getting out and meeting the different members from the chapters. 

I have struggled with my weight my whole life and this past little while the last ten pounds seem to be holding on very strongly preventing me from becoming a KOPS member. I have made myself a goal to obtain KOPS status in 2009.

I met my goal of obtaining KOPS status May 14, 2009. YEAH!

I lost my KOPS status in February of 2010 - It was mostly due to a few new medications and some health issues. I will get my status back once again but for now am focusing on my health.

I have two children - Harley, my son, is 24 and has been on his own for several years. Cassandra, my daughter is 21 and is a full time student on her way to becoming a Veterinary. My husband, Rich, also has two children that we enjoy as frequently as we can. His daughter, Bellina is 16 and his son, Devin is 10.

In my sparetime, I enjoy reading, gardening (nothing like eating fresh vegetables that you grew yourself), a variety of crafts, and scrapbooking.
